Hello, I am a jazz guitarist and singer/songwriter in Phoenix, Arizona. My music spans 3 genres 1) jazz guitar instrumental 2) singer/songwriting and 3) meditation music.
I perform as a solo artist, with my acoustic duo Celestial Misfits, and with my jazz funk trio the Scott Simon Group.
I studied with Mike Stern (guitarist for Miles Davis), Steve Masakowski (guitarist for Bobby McFerrin), Larry Coryell, Joe Diorio, Arturo Sandoval and other jazz legends. I have a PhD from U. North Texas and taught at U. South Florida for 5 years.
I currently teach guitar at several music studios in the Phoenix area including Dave Janssen's Music School in Anthem, The Scottsdale Studio of Music, Kirk's School of Performing Arts, and the Phoenix Music Conservatory.
